Ketamine Infusions To Treat Comorbid PTSD and TRD

Study

Ketamine infusions for the treatment of comorbid posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in veterans.

Results

Participants showed significant reductions in PTSD and TRD symptoms, with a remission rate of 80% for PTSD and a response rate of 93.3% for TRD. No participant reported worsening of PTSD symptoms over the study duration.

Discussion

Repeated ketamine treatments are safe and may be an effective treatment for individuals with comorbid PTSD and TRD.
